Properties of Sunflower Oil:

Sunflower oil, also known as Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil in the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI), is widely used due to its many beneficial properties.

Its lightweight and non-greasy texture makes it easily absorbed by the skin, providing hydration and nourishment. It is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, as well as antioxidants and fatty acids, which make it an effective moisturizer and emollient. Sunflower oil is also non-comedogenic, meaning it does not clog pores, and it has anti-inflammatory properties that can help soothe irritated skin.

It can also be used as a carrier oil for essential oils in aromatherapy. Additionally, sunflower oil is also used in hair care products, as it can help strengthen hair and improve its elasticity. This versatility of sunflower oil makes it a popular ingredient in many cosmetic products such as lotions, creams, hair oils, and even sunscreens.
